Pamela W. Barbour

A professional photographer and instructor, Pam has traveled from the Arctic to the Antarctic, to capture wondrous images. She teaches Photoshop and digital technique, conducts workshops, and does commercial and stock photography.

With a degree in computer science and over 20 years in the information technology industry, Pam understands computers. Computer operations, disaster recovery, and software development created a level of experience that positions her well for the digital world of today. The transition from film to digital photography was a natural. Pam also knows about the frustrations associated with digital photography. Through her seminars and workshops, Pam simplifies the complexity. She helps individuals establish workable solutions for their digital environment.

Pam's images have been published in magazines like Natures Best, JAKES (NWTF), Cowboys and Indians, Nature Photographer, Our State of North Carolina, Teldon Calendars, Leanin' Tree and more. In 2004, she was selected to participate in the SC State Parks Artist-in-Residence program. She writes a quarterly column for CNPA on digital techniques entitled Digital...Naturally. Her images have been exhibited in the Carolinas, Montana, and at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. Her prints are held in both private and commercial collections.
